The brown algae’s secret is in its NUTRITION.
Unlike animals who require readymade organic matter to sustain life, brown algae in the course of its evolution has developed an ability to generate organic matter from inorganic matter. It uses just carbon dioxide and water in the process fuelled by the sunlight. The only byproduct is oxygen.
